My 2016 has not smoked on start up in a long time. Yesterday and today , boy did it smoke bad and for quite a while. Also had a heavy smell of oil while smoking.

I know this is a problem on some, have we found a definite answer to this problem?

Mine is under warranty, do you know if Yamaha is aware of the problem and will fix it? Gonna get out my cell phone and record every cold start.

Has anyone had any luck pleading with Yamaha if they Don’t have warranty?... Seeing as this is a Defect that should be a recall.
