Thought I’d start a new thread for this and make it a bit of an install thread.

I bought this light from Amazon.ca on my prime account. $29.99 Canadian, free 2 day shipping.
Arrived in 2 days. Looks to be great quality.
The adapter pieces are all metal, that’s a plus.

It has 3 wires and they’re labeled.

I’ll continue in the next post.

So I got around to installing tonight.
I had to test the wires on the Atv to find which were hot or not.
Black is ground and yellow becomes hot when high beams are switched on. The blue wire does nothing.. very weird.
Not grounded.. no power.

Then checked the fitment of the bulb. Like a glove really.. only downfall is no rubber seal like the the factory light

I then had to change the connections on the new bulb.
I had 4mm bullet plugs from my RC trucks.
Soldered the proper male female plugs to match the factory’s wires.

It’s time for a test.
The bulb doesn’t fit as deep in the housing as I thought it should but it works fine.

The moment of truth.
success

It works perfect.
The fan was a weird. It started slow and ramped up for a whole minute straight. I thought it might lift off. Haha.
It’s not very loud but you can hear it with the machine off.
Now that it ramped once. It just starts at high speed each time now. Strange !
I check the temp. It gets up to 115f at the base of the socket.

It is close to this nut if you leave it adjusted way low.. but in the right spot it does not touch.

Time to test in the dark.

I went for a rip. It’s awesome.
Overall it does not shine as far as my 224watt spot 12” bar. But it’s as bright up close as my low lights on highbeam plus my 36watt led 13” single row bar combined.

Thanks for documenting this conversion from halogen to LED. It looks like it will work out pretty darn good! I don't understand why Yamaha didn't use an LED bulb in high light like the lower two headlights! I don't like the way the halogen looks above the LED headlights. So I'm thinking about doing this to my "new-to-me" Grizzly. Are you going to try the Fezz LED bulb that you post the screenshot of above?

Nice job, I wonder how it will hold up to riding rough trails, and vibrations, where the bulb did not quite go in all the way in the light casing, I wish they would just have that style light with a perfect fit and o ring with just a plug and play into your factory plug, no re wiring, keep us up to date on how this light holds up, if you don't mind thanks

I will keep you posted..
I find it funny the wiring tag on the bulb called for a red wire, yet there are no red wires.
The high beam blue wire is the only only that energizes the bulb. The yellow on the grizzly is the only one putting out any power
