Howdy... dealer says my '22 EPS XT-R is supposed to be here next weekend. I will generally be towing with a '12 GX 460

I guess glad I am getting a '22 as dealer says "2023 won't be introduced until mid-august and probably not shipping for long after that. As I understand there is also going to be a big price increase."

Just a few pics of my low mileage '85 Honda TRX 250.. my father has one he purchased new. I bought this one for $300 about 8-10 (IIRC) years ago. I need to put some better rear tires on it. The obvious changes aren't stock.

Curious how fast you can get around with those tracks on a packed trail? They sure do look nice.

Another question: did the street legal kit that you installed come with everything needed to appease WA regulations? I've got to get one ordered. Was looking at the one you bought and the one by Tusk. Do the lights for the rear function as tail lamps, break lights, and blinkers? What's the arrangement there?

On tracks you typically loses 35 to 40% of your speed, can be up to 60% of you select an alternate sprocket to get more power & torque to the ground at the expense of speed. Usually only do this for deep snow trekking, or pulling heavy loads like wood or a big loaded sleigh.
There's an option for a different brand of tracks that maintains 100% of your speed at the expense of the extra ground clearance.
All depends on your goals.

I see about 40-50% reduction in speed. I use mine to tow cargo to cabin in winter. The ability to leverage on snowmobile trails in winter connected to my cabin opens up lots more riding possibilities. Far easier to slow maneuver my tracked ATV around my cabin in deep snow than a sled or UTV for that matter.

Get caught with a wheeled ATV on those trails and expect to get ticket as well as piss off the snowmobilers.

Tracked UTVs are everywhere where I'm at in winter

On that street legal kit... the stock single rear tail/brake light is sufficient on ATV. I only had to install the blinkers, horn and mirrors. You only have to install one mirror to be legal but I like two.

I'm gonna try to take in for inspection this weekend.

Some good videos for Camsos from ATVTracks.net out of Spokane for installation and maintenance. I take my time and about 2 hours to put on and one hour to take off. I need to review the Grizzly specific instructions as I did have to cut a small piece of body plastic off of my Sportsman with tracks. A-arm skids usually have to be removed. Also separate kits available if you want to use the tracks on multiple quads.

That WATV inspection form was helpful. Looks like no requirements for a license plate light. Is that your take as well?

10-4. Had you considered the Tusk street legal kit with the switches mounted on the handlebars? I'm trying to narrow down the choices that will work best for me.
I hadn’t really looked TBH… dealer sold me the kit at time of sale.

I’m not sure it would fit on mine with the mirror and winch controller..Heat Demon controller is attached to winch mount. I’ll post a pic.
The handlebars spacing is my main concern. I plan to add the Heat Demon controller as well.
Thanks. Looks good. I'm not sure if I will need the dual zone or quad zone. I'm assuming the dual zone is smaller, but have to double check that.

Inspection done. Now just need to head to the licensing office next week with declarations. Dealer didn't charge me the fee for inspection but gave me the needed receipt even if was just for $0.

Dealer told me my Camso tracks will likely show up next week... winter is a ways out but will be nice having them well ahead of time if there is additional mounting work required for this quad.
