I agree. Way too loud.
They need to make a 1R racing tip that’s 1” instead of the 2” opening. Also, the tip should be about 1” longer and more downturned. They cause plastic melting for some people because it points the exhaust nearly straight back.
I made my own 1.5” tip but wish I had gone with 1” or 1 1/8” pipe. It’s ok but still a bit to barky. I would like a deep thump sound like the stock Kingquads have without being loud. The grizzly really does have a sad looking and sounding muffler. In all honesty.

Ha! You want to talk about sad looking. My final baffle on my 660's muffler was broken in half when I got it and was until today. My dad welded it back in place and it sounds better now with it being quieter. Anyway with the tip I decided just to take a grinder and a wire brush to my tip and added some new shinny bolts and called it good. Mine of course is rusty with dirt so it was a big upgrade. If you want to make it look better you could go after some heat proof paint. I would just stay away from tips.

Yup, my 2R tip lasted one ride then it ended up in the spare parts box.

I'm getting rid of mine to. Too loud is right. I'm saving for a titan exhaust can.

I installed the Bikeman Performance Quiet Core-08-QC between the muffler and tip and it has cut the loudness down a lot but still has that throaty sound. I installed a fuel controller because they run lean from the factory as it is.

The 2R tip will frighten young children and animals, caution: do not ride near golf courses or retirement communities, window glass has been reported to break, other then that I love mine!
