The front drum brakes on my 92 Big Bear are toast. Have Been since I bought it from the PO.

I hear this is pretty common for drum brakes. So I was thinking of just removing the front brake components. Anything and everything to do with the fronts on the bike I would like gone. My rear brake still works so it is enough to slow me down, or I will just aim for a soft tree if its critical :)

Is removing all the front brake components even possible? or does some of it need to remain on the bike because its attached to axel?

I'm not a mechanic so this will be an under taking for me. Just want to make sure that its even possible before getting started.

Thanks

You can remove everything except the brake drum.
