Hi all,

I have a 1998 grizzly 600. Gas was getting into the motor and the the temp gauge did work and it got hot, real hot. So hot it was stalling. Now she has a loud ticking. My guy tore it down and says he doesn't see any issues. Any ideas on what I should look for? Maybe timing chain? I don't wanna put the motor and rhe crane to find out it was something in the upper or timing chain.

Don't think the chain would make a "ticking".
Ticking at idle usually is valve adjustment related.
Is the ticking random, or does it have a rhythm?
Single or double ticking?
Engine missing at idle and/or on acceleration?

It's a ticking clicking noise. He said everything looks good. The faster u Rev it up the faster the noise gets. Only started after it got really hot and stalled.

I am not sure if it is a single or double click but I would think single
