I was rebuilding this 2005 grizzly 660 for a friend of mine. I got it back together in time and it started and idle fine. So I finished putting all the plastics back up. I got it finished started it and rode it maybe a minute than all sudden die. It wouldn’t start back. I start tearing it apart to find this and the timing chain completely throw off. Does anyone know what causes this? It’s not stripped out.

did you lock tight the bolt ? even if you left bolt loose would take more than a minute to unthread

hopefully no valve damages

I didn’t mess with the bolt. It’s one of my friends that I was rebuilding. He claims he didn’t touch it but I’m not sure. I didn’t check it because you don’t need to mess with it for timing or anything. It didn’t mess up the valves luckily.
