Hey guys, I got a check engine light today with a code 14. It started right after I did my cam swap. When I did the swap I unplugged the breather hose from the cam cover, the vaccum line for the map sensor, and the the clear line running to the bottom of the airbox. I also unplugged the map sensor. I am 100% sure I plugged everything back in. I checked everything 10 times. Anyone have any ideas? By the way the quad runs perfect and I have no problems whatsoever except for the engine light. Thanks!

(i don't know where to find the proper info so i just googled it)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
CODE 14: faulty intake air pressure sensor hose system; a hose is detached, causing constant application of the atmospheric pressure to the sensor; or the hose is clogged.

look for a clogged, kinked,pinched or detached air pressure sensor hose ,or
could be a malfunction in your ECU , or defective air pressure sensor[/b]
I found this on a street bike forum, Seems like it is related to the hoses you where messing with, but it could also be different for street bikes.
Hope it helps.

From the Grizzly manual

Code = 14

Item = Intake air pressure sensor (hose line)

Symptom = Intake air pressure sensor: hose system malfunction(clogged or detached hose).

Check your hose connections again.

I just check everything again. The map sensor is plugged in and the hose is properly connected. I disconnected the battery and the light is still on. I guess I will have to look into it some more. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it!

I am having the same check engine code but my hose is disconnected. Is there a chance you could send me a picture of where the hose is supposed to go?

This thread hasn’t been active since 2008. Probably best to start your own thread and provide details on your machine, history of what mods you or anyone else have done and what you’ve done to try and fix your issue. Very difficult for people to try and help without any basic info.
