Canceled my reservations in Creede Colorado for the Fourth of July week. No water in the creeks/rivers and some of the forest areas are bouncing back and forth from Stage II to Closed trails. Looking at the Salida Colorado area instead. Their is water and most of the trails are staying at Stage II. Thoughts ideas, suggestions, etc. I have never ATV in Colorado before.

Thanks
Buddy

If you're staying in Salida here's a few places to ride that aren't far.

Bonanza/Marshall Pass- Not far from Salida and at least a couple days worth of riding. The trails we've ridden there weren't that difficult but scenic and fun. A ton of old mine buildings.

St. Elmo/Taylor Park- Park near St. Elmo(southwest of Buena Vista) and that will give you access to tons of trails around St. Elmo and all the way over to Taylor Park.

4mile- 4 Mile is north of Salida near Buena Vista. Mostly high desert type sandy trails but still fun to ride.

Cottonwood Lake- Theirs a small network trails near Cottonwood Lake west of Buena Vista.

Hope that helps!
