Anyone out there have a good place to get CV joints for a Grizzly? I am looking for both rear inners for my 2002 660.

It's cheaper to just replace the complete axle.

It might also be in your best interest to update your axles. The 2002 is a one off year, meaning only 2002 axles fit.
Buy used hubs and knuckles from a 2003-2008 model Grizzly 660, and use those axles. You'll have lots more options available.
I have heard of doing that but I also heard that those had some weakness issues. Is that true or just people riding them to hard?
This is where fact and fiction square off and incorrect information spreads.

Here is the facts. Only the early 2003 model had weak axles. Mid way through 2003, Yamaha changed the axle with a thicker axle bar. That axle design went until 2008. These axles were just as strong as the 2002 axle.
Additionally, with the 2003-2008 axles you have many heavy duty aftermarket options, that are way stronger than oem.
Oh ok. Thanks dezz!
If you decide to go with newer style axles I have used hubs and knuckles off of a 2004 grizzly that I'm parting out and would sell cheap. Send me a pm with your phone # and where you are located and I will check on shipping costs if you are interested in this. I tried to send you a pm but it said you are not able to receive personal messages

This is the kind of stuff that makes this forum so great. Love seeing this.

Just one more thing to add here. There is another benefit to the newer axles/hubs/knuckles. They use a much better bearing design. They use a single wide bearing that is more reliable than the 2 bearing with collar setup of the 2002 model.
Thanks guys! I actually just found a amazing deal on joints I will file the info though for if I need axles again!
FYI...you can not use a 2002 or older axles with 2003 and newer knuckles and bearings. The bearing surface on the 2002 and older axles are longer than on modern axles. Meaning the axle nut will not clamp the hub and axle tight to the bearing.
I figured that would be the way it was. Got some CV joints on their way and hopefully won't need to worry about it again. At least now I can share the info and help the next guy in line!
