I have a 99 Grizzly that likes to piss me off! I have owned it about 5 years and I have had to replace the ignition coil three times now, I am in the process of the third one and I got one from Amazon that seems not to be up to spec. The service manual says that the secondary coil should be between 6.32 and 9.48, the one that was on it tests at around 2.5 ohms and the new one I bought is around 3.7 ohms. The bike will not start. We have rebuilt the carb, tried a Chinese carb, adjusted and tripled checked the valves. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through coils like this?

Have you tried OEM parts? most of the things I’ve read on these forums has been stay away from aftermarket parts their junk and don’t last very long

Welcome from Colorado.
For parts I suggest buying here. Not the lowest price but I have not had a problem with any parts I bought.
Many members learned to buy o.e.m. electrical parts and bearings along with carbs.
