Debating on Tires

Currenty I have the stock tires (Dunlop) on my machine. My riding is about 20% mud, 20% trail, 20% rock, and 20% lawn. The reason im looking to replace the tires is I dont have confidence in them should I drop myself off into a mud hole. Not only do I do recreational riding, but I also use the Grizz to pull a Swisher pull-behind lawn mower to mow the lawn. I do about 5-8 mph when mowing the lawn (literally crawling) and want some replacement tires. I have stock rims on the machine, 12x6 on the front, 12x7 on the rear (at least thats what the manual says). I want to keep the stock rims, cuz I dont have the cash to change them.

The Dunlops are 25-8-12 on the front and 25-10-12 on the rear. I do want to go to wider tires. I was thinking of either 25-10-12 or 26-9-12 on the front and 25-12-12 or 26-12-12 on the rear.

I've been looking at the Swamp Fox Pro's and ITP Mudlite XL's. The ITP XTR's are out of my ballpark for price. Has anyone had any experience with either tire?

Will the 10" tires fit on the machine w/o rubbing the winch when turning hard left? and will the 7" rim adaquetly accomodate the 12" tire on the rear?

Hows the ride on either tire? Will they beat ya to death when crawling? I'm not a speed demon so high speeds are kept to a minimum. The average speed on trails (i.e., gravel roads/logging roads) is 20-25 mph. I want to make sure that while mowing the lawn it doesn't beat ya to death. I know that the XL's are now using the same rubber compound as the 589's and from what I've read, the 589's have a great tread life. I haven't however read anything on the Swamp Fox Pros. I would like to have a tire that has a good tread life and doesnt beat ya to death?

And with going to a 26" tall tire, will it require any modification to the drivetrain. I've read that people suggest clutch kits, etc. on varies forums. And if it will produce significant stress on the drivetrain, I'll stay with the 25".

Anyone have any input? Am i looking at the wrong tires for what I want to do?

If you get 26" or 27" you won't need to worry about a clutch kit. Now if you go with 28's on up, I'd suggest one. And I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in as well on tires. I'd seriously consider the Big Horns.
