Thanks for the add! I have a 2008 grizzly 700 eps.had the engine rebuilt, and the guy left the ground wire off at the starter.of course it burned thru the harness some.was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if its worth fixing,or just put a new harness on it? Again, thanks for the add!!

Welcome to GC. We have several electrical gurus here. Somebody will be able to help you out. In the mean time, you might try the search function and see if you can find your answer there.

Post up another intro thread and tell us a little about yourself. I'm relocating this thread to the Grizzly Electrical and Lighting forum. The new title will be "Do I need a new harness?"
Thanks for the info.I'm new here, but a longtime yamaha fan. This grizzly fits like no other.hate to get rid of it.

You're in the right spot for all things Grizzly. I'm sure that machine has more life left in it. We'll get ya squared away. You might also post up any pics that might help our members determine the best course of action. There's couple different ways to do that. You can use the paperclip attach button above the your text box or you can do it this way (may take 10 posts to use this method... not sure.)

I try to work on my own machines.just not too good at wiring.the bike runs,so I assume it hasn't killed it yet?
Bump
just clarifying...there is only one large black wire connected to the lug on the starter..it comes from the starter relay (solenoid) . there is no ground wire on the starter. It grounds through the engine block.
. figure out how to send several pics of the wire that overheated, from both ends.

if stuck, you can pm me, email them to me and i will post for the collective
