I recently purchased an exhaust tip from ebay, the sellers is "eyfer_designs" The item was called "The original gun barrel tip" for Yamaha grizzly 700. The item looked good, after one day of riding one of my friends noticed something wierd on the plastic above the exhaust. To my surprise the exhaust had melted off a large chunk of my plastic fender. I have sent the seller an email and am waiting for a response. I will add pics later. I will keep you informed with the sellers response to this situation.
