Hey, guys. My name is Brad, new to the site. I’m from Joliet, IL about 40 miles south of Chicago. I just bought a 08 Grizzly 700 that is completely stock with only 600 miles on it. I’ve owned sport quads in the past(been about 6 years), first time utility owner. I’m pretty use to the online forum world. I’ve been a member on duramaxforum.com for over 10 years. My plans are new rims and tires ASAP and a back seat for the girlfriend. Any suggestions are welcome! Can’t wait to hit the trails! Looking forward to gaining some knowledge and meeting new people. Thanks!-Brad

Hi Brad.
I'm new too and just got my first Grizzly (of my own).
I like it here. You will too.
I recommend you check your bike to see if the stator cover upgrade has been installed. If it hasn't, I highly recommend you do it.
The 2007/2008 models had a high stator failure rate due to lack of cooling. A new stator cover was installed in 2009 which cured the problem. Yamaha was installing the kits on the older models for free for several years, but that program is long gone over with now. It is a bolt on kit.

26" O.G.'s are a good tire.
Welcome 2 GC, and what dezz said.

Welcome to GC from Maine, and X2 on Dezz's advice, for sure.
Welcome to Gc from TN. My 08 made it over 1500 miles before the stator fried , depending on how much you ride it could last you for years or it could go out tomorrow. The fuel tank vent was also a problem on the 07/08s and didn't make 400 miles on mine but it's only a 15 buck fix and won't leave you stranded if it acts up unlike the stator issue.
Welcome to GC from Missouri!
Welcome from maine. Look at wes industries seats and ebay for fender protectors with pegs
