Hello!

I want to replace the OE footpegs on my 09 grizzly 700 and I am debating if I should go with the OEM oversized ones , or the Roxspeed Fx ones.

Only thing is I have a rear seat with fender guards/footpegs and often carry a passenger, I am worried it would complicate access for my passenger..(Rox)

Any ideas? My stock ones get iced up and I'm always slipping lol

The oversized Yamaha foot pegs are nice and I would do that as a minimum. It would be a little nicer to have the riser ends but only you can decide if the extra money would be worth it. I do not see how it would interfere with a second rider getting on/off.

Well there is a 33$ difference between the two, its not that much!!
For the passenger, at the moment the foot well is pretty plain, but with the riser end it might become an obstacle?

yeah, $50 seemed like a bit of a stretch for two little pieces of metal and I didn't really have an issue with that, but then take into consideration the Rox are $80.95 right now for two little pieces of metal... just seems pretty high price for what they are.

I recall reading of some using Can-Am pegs instead. The fit looks to be OK but you can tell they weren't made to fit a Yamaha. Most seem to like them and it is always mentioned they are cheaper than even the Yamaha ones.

Per your passenger question, seems to me if the end riser pegs turned out to be an obstacle for them, probably not someone you would want on the back anyway.

I used Arctic Cat pegs on my grizzly.
It was 2-3 years ago and there was a thread about it. Might be able to find it again.. the Cat pegs were way cheaper

That link didn’t work for me. It took me to a site that asked if I want to download tapatalk. Is this the thread you were linking to? Unfortunately, it appears the pics were all hosted on PB.

Links worked for me too. This is a great idea. Then I remembered that RMATV has free shipping, no minimum purchase through today, and sure enough they sell Arctic Cat parts. So I ordered up a set. Along with a couple Tusk Magnetic drain bolts to try out. Not sure if anyone tried the AC pegs on the 450's, so I guess I'll find out.

I have had the Rox now for a year or so and love em. They were $75 to my door. I can't see any way that they would hinder your passenger from getting on and off. I will warn you if you get them they are sharp and very well built. I was pulling a little trailer around the yard and had on some cheap shoes and had a spike go right through the sole into my foot a little bit...ouch.

Yeah a bit of a steep price at 120$ tx in CAD, but its the only thing I bought for my ATV this year so I don't really mind Hehe. The most important fact is that I really enjoy them and my feet no longer slides out because of snow and ice buildup :)

Good choice I love mine. No way your foot will slip on those bad boys.
