[Grizzly 700 EPS 2017] What is this for?

During my still ongoing "Grizzly Exploring Journey" I saw this behind the seat (there is one on each side)
Someone any idea what they are for?

No clue how about some WAG's.

Bracket for a seat back?
Bracket to lock your helmet to?
Bracket for a sunshade like on farm tractors?
Since you have all the modification to make it road ready maybe a roll cage bracket?

RobPt.. It sure would interesting to look over a Portuguese Yamaha part suppliers site. Showing all the parts that you have available.
I have a 2016 Kodiak and I don't have one of those electronic boxes that you found with you machine.

I own a case skid steer that is sold internationally it came with a CD that lists all the parts that other countries require installed to import.

Isn't that a butfore?
Like reogem replied, seat back or something more simple like a place to hook a bungee cord. If you find out let us know!

As I see how they look I think that only the 4th suggestion makes sense. Although I never saw a roll cage on an ATV, I can imagine that in some EU member states they are obligated as a safety feature, not for road use but for use as a small farmer tractor or logging. In Portugal you don't see many utility ATV's on the roads only those sport types and ........ quite a lot of them!

Yes, a butfore ??????????????????????? An American expression that is?
....... If you find out let us know!
Of course!

Not on my Australian 2017, something for the European market, embarrass the dealer by asking
Never heard of butfore either--------sounds painful :frown2:
Yea i never heard of this lifegard either, you think they would be pushing hard on something like this' wouldn't mind seeing this roll down a decent size hill to see how it'll hold up.

Never leave my immaturity alone with a few beers. I suppose I should apologize :grin2:

You really made my day. For the first time in my "forum-life" a moderator offers his apologies to me.

Apologies accepted!

Happy drinking and have fun.

Darn it! I was hoping someone would ask what it was. Lol. That was bad.

Today I spoke with my dealer and will the secret be revealed now? No because also he hadn't the slightest idea what those "things" are for.
He only could tell me that they came with the homologation kit (I already figured that out myself) but he will try to find out what they are for. Oh and he didn't feel embarressed by not knowing ........
So until now to me they are still "thing like objects" (literaly translated Dutch expression which is used if someone really don't what he's looking at or what the purpose of it is)

Stay tuned :wink2:

We call "thing like objects" "doings" they just do stuff, your tabs look quite handy, I've got a tab on the rear rack that takes a gun boot, have a look on your countries or Europeans Yammy website & see if there is an accessory that fits there.
Was the dealer interested enough to chase it up for you?
