I got a 2018 grizzly 90 for the kid and it has a rediculous amount of sag with me on it. I know it’s not for adults but it pretty much wheelies around everywhere. I only weight 175. I have a older Arctic cat 90 that works perfectly fine. I have the shock turned up as hard as it will go. And still sags. Thanks for any help.

What's our budget?
You may not want to spend for rebuilding the current shock, or want to call Elka.
And if small people ride it, the stiff shock will be a problem for them.

I am having the same issue. Just got a 2021 90 for my 12 year old. He is135 with helmet and clothes and i think the rear sags to much with him on it. I took atv back to dealer amd talked to them because i thought sat way to low with him on it. I can push down on rear and bottom it out with very little effort on setting 5 and they said thats normal for this atv. I am used to my bike and my fullsize atvs that dont squat near as much with someone on them. Is anyone else having this issue or is it supposed to be that soft in the rear for this size atv. Am i over thinking it comparing it to bike and fullsize atv. But it seems very front high and rear low with him on it. With very little stroke left to bottom with him on it. I cant find anywhere with stiffer springs and/or shock assembly. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah I went through the same troubles. Tried a new rear shock of another 90 with the same results. Finally went with a stiffer afterMarket spring and that fixed it up. Stiffer with better ride height with the kids on it. Now the wife can even ride it around without the shock being completely bottomed out. Hope this helps

I even had tried to remove the factory spring and install 2 inches of washers as a spacer. But it didn’t help. The spring is just too soft for any kind of weight

I got a grizzly 90 for my son thinking I could sit on with him to help him learn how to drive it. The shock is so soft I can literally push the back of the bike right down. Looking for a little help I live in Ontario Canada and need either a stiffer shock or spring local Yamaha dealers have no aftermarket or anything to fix these super soft shocks.

These bikes were not made for heavy use/weight, maybe someone will come along with information on a heavier spring substitute. And if your son is a new rider turn the throttle screw/block for minimum power.

Yes I know they were not made for heavy use they are a kids bike, however it says weight capacity is 307lbs and I can bottom out suspension by pushing the back of the bike down. And thanks I have throttle in and it in limp mode for my little guy. I didn't want to run beside him as I did with his other bike.

No I can’t sorry. I called into Rec supply with some measurements and they found me a heavier spring. I could call there tomorrow and get a part number though I’m sure.

I just sent them an email now.
If you can get the part number and post it here for everybody, im sure it would be a big help.
I have contacted every shock manufacturer and requested an aftermarket shock be built for the yamaha 90 atvs.
The sag is just rediculous and dangerous.
