I have a 60" plow that I have been plowing with for 3 years. I have used a viper max 3000 LB winch for plowing and is certainly handy when my winch is working properly. Atleast once a winter though my winch will stop working properly and I have to take it apart during the middle of the winter. Usually it is a bad contactor. Since I only really use my winch for plowing I'm seriously considering ditching it for a hand lift. Has anyone else done this? How do the hand lifts work?
