I have a 2006 Grizzly 660 with less than 1,000 miles. The other day my son was riding it and everything was fine until suddenly the engine revved up and then it just died. He could not restart the engine. Any suggestions?

We more information than that.
Did it over rev?
Does it crank over at all (low battery)?
Does it crank over normally when trying to start, but just doesn't start?
Have you replaced the spark plug?
Is the gas valve in ON position (you'd be surprised how often people forget that)?
Is the kill switch in the ON position (another one people forget or hit without knowing it)?

Is it making any other abnormal noises?

I pulled the side cover off and found the spark plug wire hanging free with NO SPARK PLUG IN THE CYLINDER! We bought this machine in 2013 from an estate sale with 274 miles on it. The owner had died. The only thing I can figure is that he had fogged the cylinder for storage and put the plug back in finger tight and reattached the plug wire. After we drove it for a while the plug worked itself loose and blew out of the cylinder. I don’t know what other explanation there could be. I put in a new plug and reattached the plug wire and it started right up. This is a first for me!
