Kodiak 400 Exhaust

Good morning. I have a 2005 Kodiak 400 and it has a very strong exhaust smell. This is my first ATV. Is this normal? It runs fine. When I start it up in the garage, it smells like I left a car running in there for a few hours

Sounds normal to me. How is it out in the field? Mine tends to smell while warming up, but once it's been running for 10 minutes the smell almost disappears.
