I have had my 2005 yamaha kodiak 450 for 2 years almost no problems until now. the display want turning on unless i wiggled the key switch and it would sometimes take up to a minute to work. Recently, it stopped working completely. It would only work if the Killswitch was in the office position. This occurred after switching on the bright lights while it was driving it completely shut off the four wheeler when I did so. Now it still won’t turn on unless the Killswitch is in the off position and I think there is a short, but I have checked every wire known to mankind on this four wheeler someone help please

I suggest you do a continuity test of each wire.

Take the kill switch apart and check for corrosion.

What are you calling the "off" position of the kill switch? The "run" or "not run" position.

Wiggling the key switch to getting it going tells me the key switch may be trash. You could by pass the key switch for a test.
