I recently got a 2014 Grizzly 700. It has been great for the month I've owned it. Yesterday shifting from reverse to high, I had a loud grinding noise going into gear. Thats the first time I had that, and it didn't happen again. What should i check ??

Were you still rolling when you shifted?

You probably just didn't have the gears completely engaged. Check the shifter linkage for any worn or loose components. If all Ok, ride on. Nothing else to worry about.

If the engine was turning slightly higher than idle, like when a choke is still on, this will engage the wet clutch and cause this to happen. Or just a bump on the throttle for a momentary high r.p.m. just before shifting can do this.
