Hey guys. Need some help before I loose my mind. I have a 1999 big bear 350 with no spark. Here's where I'm at with it. New battery because the other one was shot, new plug, new ignition coil, and new stator and pick up coil. Still no spark. Just to double check to see if I got a bad stator I tested it and the pick up coil and they both test good. Having said that with it cranking I'm only getting like 5 volts ac out of the stator. Plug it into regulator and only getting about 3 volt dc from there. Someone please tell me what I'm missing. Thanks.

CDI is probably the culprit. Unfortunately there is no testing procedure for it. You have to replace it to test it, and they are not cheap new.
Know of anybody else with a similar bike you can swap a CDI from?

What is tested good? What did the ohm out to?
Double check that the pickup coil is installed and wired correctly.

Got it to fire tonight. Went back and got my dad's known good cdi box and still nothing and went from there. With a little more thinking and process of elimination by testing some more stuff with my meter turns out the culprit was a bad magneto.
