Hello all,

Sorry about my English but i'm not from the USA, i'm from the Netherlands --> Europe.

Here in the Netherlands they stole ATV by ordered. A keylock is not enough. By alarm in a Grizzly in the mud is not a good option i think. Do some people here have a alarm on there Grizzly?

Thnx

I have a 2018 Yamaha Grizzly, I do not know of any alarm on the 4 wheeler, nor is there a lock. I use a log chain to padlock mine in the Garage.

Some say a PoPo cover on it will protect your investment.

My Grizzly is protected by my dog and a Glock, and neither one doesn’t mind the mud!

Try Google: "alarmsysteem voor een quad" and I'm sure you will find something useful. Of course what's useful depends on the circumstances. But if they really want to steal your Grizzly they'll manage to do so.
By the way I'm very glad you said The Netherlands and not Holland! :wink2::wink2::wink2:

@ RDC
I have two very mean dogs. The moment somebody tries to steal my Grizzly I wake them up and then they start barking like hell ...........
And a 9 mm Glock? Very nice to put some holes in a cardboard but for preventing somebody to steel my Grizzly ........... I rather use my
More efficient and the biggest advantage: it's fully automatic so I don't have to leave the house ........

Lol, Had one of them on the Destroyer, DD984 I was on Rob, it was called the (Failex system) bad a$$.I Like your Doberman pinschers, fine looking alarm system.
Had a buddy get one drove off from his house with a plow attached, it was found a few days later so likely kids.

Mine sits under the deck in a shed, not concerned about someone hauling away, similar to my trailer besides one road in/out and a barking dog, most hunt elk up here. When I am gone for a week at a time, I take the key out as extra security.
Making it inconvenient to steal is your best bet. Thieves are generally lazy, cowards, and drug addicts. Anything that requires too much work or a high risk of being detected usually pushes them to the next opportunity. Getting caught means no drug fix while sitting in jail. That said, if somebody wants it bad enough, they’ll get it. Nothing is theft proof. I like cables. They are difficult to cut with cutters and noisy to cut with a cut off wheel. Chain / cable it to something and then chain / cable the wheels together on each side. Don’t skimp on locks. Get good ones as that will be the weak point if you don’t. Check YouTube for lock reviews. Believe it or not, there are entire channels dedicated to people reviewing and attempting to pick padlocks.

here is a glock not allowed
here is a glock not allowed
Maybe it should be allowed, you might have people thinking twice about there actions!

I like that, it must enter into a creeps mind that there are potential consequences to theft. :)
If the creep is creeping into your yard to take something how would he know the "potential consequences"?

Best to store the machine out of site,
Locked down... lock the brakes ,lock the shifter, chain or cable it.
Get some motion lights,
Maybe some sort of motion switch on the machine that will sound a horn,
Video camera, even a fake one.

Haha always The Netherlands, normally they don't understand when i say Holland.

Yes i have also a dog. Its a Golden Retriever :)

About the glock, and the thief.

Here in THE NETHERLANDS;) when a thief comes in your house and you will kick him he will to sue you. That is how the legal system is unfortunately.

again sorry about some English words don't know some words:p

Practice makes better. You can never be perfect, lol. Besides, your English is much better then my Dutch. I literally do not know a Dutch word. That legal system SUCKS!.. Judge: Why are you sueing? Thief: That guy kicked me when I was trying to steal from him!..
I use a GPS locator and full coverage insurance....oh and my Smith & Wesson
You could also just take one rear wheel off....or 2 for maximum security lol

Seriously that's how its works here. Its not allowed to defence your house. You need to call 112(911) and wait till the police comes when they robby you. When you shoot someone here you will get max 3 - 5 years in prison when you have a blank criminal record. But so how its works we need to deal with it!

Let me learn you some words;) (i know its a grizzly forum no school;)

Goedemiddag = hello/good afternoon
Hoe is het = how are you
Goed met jouw = good and how are you/good, how do you do
Tot ziens = Bye
