Just changed my front brake pads and now my speedo is showing 10mph when I am sitting still. If it makes a difference, I've been running 27's since i got it and never had a problem until I changed the brake pads.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

On what kind of ATV? I can't see a signature of your ride if you have one.

Garef I'll be honest and say I don't know what's wrong. My 2002 660 has a similar issue. The speedo sometimes says 3mph when sitting still. No mods done it just says it. Does it go up once you reach that speed?

Hey...Garef..Welcome to GC from Wisconsin.

I would start by disconnecting the speed sensor. See if the the speedo zeros out it may indicate a bad sensor.

Just thinking out loud here but would disconnecting and reconnecting the pod have any effect in resetting it if it’s not the speedo sensor?

Guys, just to close this thread for everyone. I forgot to mention that I had been jumping the bike the last few times I have used it as the battery was drained. I finally put in a new battery at the weekend and the problem has disappeared. I know this isn't a breakthrough solution, but it is a solution nonetheless.

Thanks for everyones time on this.

Yes, thank you. A bad battery can do weird stuff.
