Stalled out while trail riding...

Hello Grizzly Central!

While out for a trail ride yesterday, my 2020 Grizzly 700 EPS SE started to lose power after about an hour...I was on another quad but the rider reported sputtering and loss of power, and eventually the machine stopped running all together. When I try to turn her over she doesnt crank, but I can hear the starter. I bought the bike new and have kept up on the service so I am surprised it failed. I plowed with it all winter without any indications of trouble. I have it on a trickle charger right now...not really sure where to start so I was hoping the forum experts might be able to steer me in the right direction to at least get an idea what might be wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Could be low voltage. The EFI needs 7 volts for the ejector to open.
Check clean and tighten battery cables, Load test the battery, Check that the stator is not smoked.

If you didn't have the Grizzly on a battery maintainer during plowing season, agree you might have a bad battery. The amount of amps you spend running the winch will typically be greater than the stator can generate when plowing. Keep it on a maintainer after plowing.

I did not have it on a tender...just moved last year and my new pole barn does not yet have power....freaking lights are run off solar panels...not my idea ;)
Appreciate the feedback guys...after a couple hours on the charger it fired up. Ill test the battery to see if its trashed but its a relief I dont have to take it to the shop. Lesson learned...I need power in my barn!
