Can't make my mind up on which winch to get. They are all closely priced just curious if you guys have any opinions on the choices.

I've never heard of Smittybilt.

The only Superwinches I like is Terra Series. Those are very well made, durable winches.
The LT series are just cheap winches. They've been around for a couple decades, but it doesn't change the fact they are cheaply made.

Viper winches are good winches with an excellent customer support behind them.

You can't go wrong with a Viper Winch or a Superwinch Terra Series. Both are excellent winches.

Thanks for the info, the only reason I was considering the smittybilt is for the 3.9hp motor but I doubt I would notice a difference in power between that or the other 2 options seeing as in the load pulling amps are lower for the smittybilt. Probably go with the superwinch. I have heard mixed reviews on Viper winches
WARN winches are my preference and I’m curious why you aren’t considering one.

More than likely, it's the price. Warn is expensive. Expensive to buy and expensive for replacement parts....and in my experience, no better in terms of quality or reliability.

I’ll agree they are more expensive. I bought mine when I got the quad and they sold it at a huge discount.

Just got a bad taste in my mouth with Warn, Both my 600 and 700 grizzly's came with the factory Warn a2000 and both are paperweights now. Both sitting in my barn with stripped plastic housings. I have to add that they were both on the machines when I got them so I have no clue if they were abused to cause this but they are too expensive to chance
I can't stop thinking about the smittybilt XRC 4.0 and was hoping to find more info on them.It has a brand that I'm familiar with but can't find much on the winches.
I got one from Harbor Fright,, has done a good job so far and could not beat the price. It has pulled my 660 with no issues.
So I have decided to go with the superwinch terra 45. I realize its a bit overkill but they are built a little beefier than the others and I had to go with the 45 to get the wide spool so decision made!
Thanks for all you guys help!!

That's a really good winch. Great decision.
