So I just picked a 2004 grizzly 660, has a little over 1000hrs and 3000 miles. I was driving today and slowly got up to about 15mph and then got in the throttle, it suddenly started jerking and the engine seemed like it was revved up high for a few seconds even after I had let off the throttle. The jerking stopped once the engine started revving back down. I’m hopping it’s just a belt or sheave issue and not actual transmission gears.... any help would be appreciated

Look at the primary clutch. The retaining nut may have come off or stripped.

Alright I will Check that out today, hopefully something simple as that! Do the 660’s ever blow transmissions as far as the internal gears?
