Hey everyone, I was thinking that maybe I will paint my Grizzly. I want to know if everyone thinks painting is a good idea, and what type of paint do I use?

I think that it is Rustoleum brand that has spray paint that is formulated for bonding to plastic. There are probably other brands too. I used it to paint an old Honda Four-Trax that was all faded red. I painted it green. I went over the plastic first with a medium Scotch-Brite pad. The paint went on well and stuck well. I did the racks and other metal with regular Rustoleum for smooth metal, and that worked great as well. Just make sure that you get all wax, grease, oil, etc. off first, and get the shine off the plastic with a fine to medium abrasive. The Scotch-Brite pads work well as they conform to the contours of the plastic. The paint job probably won't come out as shiny as the new plastic was, but if you like the more matte type finish, you will probably be happy with it.

Yeah, something like this works well. It can still gouge though just like any paint is going to.

Thanks guys! I am going to either paint the front fenders so they look better or paint everything a different color.

@reogem, yup that's what I used on the old Honda, the Krylon Fusion. I've used the Rustoleum for plastic on something, I just can't remember what, LOL!!! I do know that both worked fine.
