Hey everyone, been some time since I've been on here as the Grizzly has been running great. Just recently when I was changing the engine and differential fluids, along with the outer oil seals as I had a couple start to leak, I notice the seal that is found on the end of the front drive shaft was cracked.(pic attached) After ordering up new ones, front and rear, I pulled the front shaft out and having a hard time determining if the splines are worn to the point I should replace the shaft or not. It does appear there wasn't a lot of grease in there which I know will accelerate wear but I can't determine if this should be replaced or not. The cv joints themselves still feel tight and with the driveshaft in the quad, there is minimal side to side play where the splines and couplers meet. (front/rear)

Side note the 660 only has about 1400 miles on it

Thanks in advance!

I would clean, grease and re-install.

Spline in the shaft look OK. How do the couplings look?
Before putting the dif back in it is advisable to elongate the holes in the frame side mounting tabs about 3/16" toward the engine. Allowing the slack and wobble to be taken up in the front drive shaft assembly. This helps to avoid the premature wearing out of the shaft and the couplings. Plenty of info about the 660 front driveshaft "death wobble".
