The seat is a different shape. I had the heated seat cover on my 2016. When I was getting ready to trade it in I tried to put it on my 2015. Didn't fit.

Other people make kits. You take off the seat cover and install the kit on the foam and re-attach the seat cover.
Do a search for heated motorcycle seat kits.
Symtec makes one with a 10" x 9" heater element. It costs around $75.
