No problem! When I had my two seater Canned Ham she would hardly ever ride with me. Now I can’t even ride by myself hardly any more. Lol It does great two up, I just need to add some shims for a little more low end torque.

Heck yes it can be done. I ride a Grizz, my wife has a nice 4-seat SxS with super-plush, awesome suspension. Still, on every ride we do... I'm almost always 2-up on the Grizzly, because kids are fighting for a turn on the Grizz. My wife is always torn, she wants to ride on the Grizz with me half the time, drive her SxS the other half. :LOL:

Be sure to keep the pegs folded up when not in use. If your machine starts getting tippy and you need to bail, the foot pegs can trap your leg. Don't ask me how I know that. :oops:

As usual, shim + spring will make you grin even with a passenger.

If I am riding single, I stand on the pegs while traversing deep water or mud. This is a good reason to have them even if you don't ride double.

I made passenger foot rests that bolt to the stock foot peg mounts only, so I didn't have the upright to the rack.
I too use them in water;
https://flic.kr/p/fwZdLm They're just over ankle high and contoured so I don't get a foot caught behind them;

Also... when you're two-up, don't be afraid to put something heavy on the front rack, to keep those front wheels more planted. I've been known to lash 5-10 gallons of gas or water down on the front rack when carrying a person on the back.
