This weekend may be a tough time to get a lot help here as members are out riding, but hang in there.
I would make damn sure the battery connections are tight. I loose ground can cause low voltage and things do not work.
If that is not it, you may have a grounded/rubbed through wire somewhere. Some have pulled one fuse at a time to check different electrical systems. If you pull a fuse and the problem stops, check that system further.

Guys I think I have narrowed it down to something inside the kill switch/headlight control unit. I take it loose from handle bar, all is good, put it back and its hit and miss, work a minute then off again. I'm thinking kill switch has a grounded wire

Nicked wire, or something broke in the switch?

 

Scratch that idea. Must have been a fluke. Now the neutral light want hardly burn. I been thru switch, traced wires, unplugged kill switch, checked battery ground, still nothing. Its probably worse now than it was, it want even get enough power to engage starter

 

After tracking and tracing wires, the problem was found in something I never thought it would be. I put a new ignition switch in it in Nov due to losing keys. Well guess what, that new ignition had went bad and was causing all these issues
