My buddies wife has got a 05 250 suzuki quad that has been sitting for about a 1 1/2 yrs and the carb gunked up. Had feul coming out in breather and out exhaust. Tore it down last nite and cleaned everything in it. Now it will start and idle perfect but when you touch the throtle it dies instantly. Not sure what would cause this. Thanks for any input or helpfull advise on this matter.

I bought a 660 that sat for a few years as well and had to go back in the carb a couple of times till i got it running perfectly..you gotta clean every tiny hole/passage in there. i used almost two cans of carb cleaners and compressed air to clear up everthing

how do you get the throttle cable off the carb housing?and is there a certin way to ajust the float fuel level?

if its an older model suxuki the throttle cable has a cap the scres onto the top of the carb. thats how mine is. just unscrew that cap the cable is running through and it should pop off
