just wondering if the rear fenders will have to be trimmed if after market rims and 27'' tires are put on. i had to do this with the 04 grizz i had, the back fenders would rubb the back tires no problem with the fronts just the backs. also will after market rims and tires have any ill effects on the axles, this was a problem on my 04 grizz the rear axles would pop out of the rear differential. The tires and rims i am talking about are 27" big horns on itp type 5. if there are problems i would like to know ahead of time to avoid them. I know yamaha is tough to deal with when it comes to warranty work even with the extended warranty.

You can put 29.5" tire on the 700. As long as you don't have wheel spacers. You can put 30's on but they will expand at hight speeds and rub. I have overinflated my tires to 31" and they rub the wheel wells when in extreme angles like up or down steep angles. The biggest problem I have is in th front right where the dry box is that hangs down under the the fender well.

I forgot...I had 2.5" spacers. Without the spacers the 28's didn't rub at all.

I can slap 37" tires under there now without a problem.

Stock I could fit 29.5's though. With the spacers, trim one little spot...without I was good. I've actually got a set of 29.5's for the rhino and they fit on it bone stock too.
