Hey all,

This could have been gone over in the past but just another reminder that you can pick up some HS1 LED headlight bulbs for under 20 bucks on Ebay! Huge, huge difference in brightness and aesthetics! Comparison picture is in my Grizz I just finished.

Got the new led bulbs. High/low beam, alum heat sink. Plug right it. The heat sink is big so you have to wrestle with the retainer clip a little to get it on but it fits fine once you get it in place. There is a pigtail plug so another bit of wrestling to get the extra wire and plug all tucked into the rubber cover but it will go in. Super bright white light. Can't wait to try them after dark. $33.00 for the pair on eBay.

That looks bright enough to burn a spot on my monitor just looking at it.
Be interesting to see what the various low/hi beam patterns look like.
In ATV friendly towns and the woods, I don't want to blind oncoming traffic.
Could you post the link where you bought them from?

Is it plug and play or do you have to wire in ballast?

Mine are the HS1 type.
See signature for details.

Do these have a low/high beam and a beam pattern that won't blind oncoming riders?
Just asking because back (years ago) when I considered upgrading, the LED bulbs did not.

One of my stock bulbs burned out so I needed some new ones anyway. I just ordered a pair of 100 watt LED, direct plug in replacement bulbs for $28.00 total on Flea Bay. Can't wait to try them out.

Be very careful on those lights. Make sure the wattage rating is there "equivalent" output rating and not actual power draw rating.
The factory wiring will not handle 100 watts of power draw without getting hot and possibly melting.

At 12 volts, 100 watts equal 8.3 amps of draw. That's a lot on the small wiring and contacts.
At 14 volts (stator output with engine running), 100 watts equals to 7.1 amps. That's still quite a lot of amps going through the factory wiring at a constant flow.

Hahaha! Crap. I jumped the gun when I ordered these. They will work fine, but this model is NOT high/low beam. Oh well, 90 day no questions asked return policy. Looked a little more, found the ones I really wanted with high/low beam. Only $33.00 per pair. I'll get those at some point and report back.

I also installed leds bulbs.

The lighting is good and we have the low and high, cons after 50 hours of use a light bulb has just died :-(
Currently I am in discussion with the seller for a refund or an exchange. . .
