So I installed a fan override switch for my grizzly because the thermo switch was bad.

basically I have to manually switch the fan on to keep the coolant cool, so my questions is this:

In the event that the overheat light does come on, is it best to a.)stop and idle the machine with the fan running, b.)turn machine off and let fan run or c.) just turn machine off and let it sit....

any opinions? I have heard both overtime and I just dont know what helps cool the motor faster?

I have had my 700's light come on a couple of times, including in the middle of summer, and I have just turned it off right away and let it cool down on it's own. It hasn't done any damage to it.

Let it idle to keep water circulating and wait till fan goes off then shut down if you like. If you shut it off whlie it still hot it will heat soak everything. But you need to find cause of overheatng. 55% of the time due to dirty rad

X2 never just "kill" a hot engine . Just throw her in neutral and let her cool with the fan running at idle
