Pretty sure there is no actual grease zerk on the stem. In the manual it usually states to have yamaha service tech lubricat the steering stem.
I believe all they actually do is grease the splinned section of the shaft and possibly repack the steering stem bearing.

There is no zerk on the steer stem.
When assembling lithium soap grease is used on all the seals and bushings. An ambitious and bored person could pull the steering bushing apart now and again to add some LS to stop the top bushing squeaks. There is an aftermarket bushing with a zerk available for 40-50 bucks.
OEM bushing set is 9 bucks. I have only needed to replace on OEM steering bushing set at 15k miles. Can't justify the cost of the AM bushing.

 

Lol let it wear and get a little slop... Then drill, tap and insert a zerk... Take up said slop with a couple pumps of grease. Rredneckk repair

@CanadianKodiak700 ..Somewhere on the forum there is a guy the drill a zerk into the OEM bushing.
At oil changes I do spray the bushing with lithium grease. Not sure if it help but there is no slop or squeaks on the oldest Kodi.

 

I haven't done it to the kodiak yet, but my old honda got a shot of fluid film on the steering bushings shock bushings every oil change, and if I did a long ride in dusty conditions. If they weren't lubed, the squeek from shocks would drive ya nuts
