Some of you may have been there done that, the spring, washer and screen dumped in to the pan quicker than I could see and I didn't find it till after a short ride with it's first Amsoil oil and wix filter. They sure do put a lot of parts into a plug. I even put it back on and did a mental check list of what should be there based on the manual and darned if the seal hadn't fallen off.
The old oil wasn't bad but dark, I was pleased. The new oil came out of the machine when I dumped it to put the piece back in, just as dark, didn't have a mile on it. I've heard this stuff cleans things up but I didn't expect it to get dirty looking so quick. I even sent it back through a filter before re entering, there were small particles of varnish.
Machine did sound good and ran calmer with the synthetic oil.
