Look into Rotopax or Kolpin fuel packs.

Just Google "ATV fuel packs" and you'll see lots of options. Those fuel packs are expensive though...imo anyway

 

If you just like to mount a basic fuel can to your bike, you might be out of luck.....They are just very hard to find now. Maybe even not in production anymore.
Kimpex and Motovan used to sell them. They would mount to an aftermarket, basic twin tube rear bumper.

A few gas rack ideas

 

I've always used a standard 2-1/2 gallon can and either a NRS or ratchet strap on the front rack. Wife tested...hahaha

 

It's not sexy, but I've put 2) 2.5 gallons containers (one for each side) in the rear seat box, and larger containers on the rear seat. For the larger containers I installed small u-bolts on each side of the passenger back rest for a ratchet strap to hold the containers from sliding forward, then a strap across the top to the sides of the rack (front or rear rack depending where you have the seat mounted) pulling down.

You can see the small notch I had to cut into the lid for the cap, to close the lid.
I guess with 2) seat/box combinations you can carry more gas for cross country trips.

 

Those Rotopax the guys mentioned look dandy. Depending on how much gas you need to carry, and if you want a rear seat/storage as well, the rear lounger that I have with the gas can shelf works well. It holds a 2-1/2 gal. gas can or when there are times when I don't need to carry gas for a short "lunch" ride, the shelf is just the right size for my small cooler as well. I’ve had good luck with my Rotopax. No complaints. Some have mentioned that the 4 gallon is a little awkward to manipulate but I haven’t had any trouble.

 

4 Wheeler Gas Cans

Amazon and Rocky Mountain ATV carry both the Rotopax or Kolpin. I just ordered a 4 gallon Rotopax from Rocky Mountain and another one from Amazon. I was wanting to go to the Hatfield & McCoy trails in WV, so I thought I might need two gas cans.

I built a wire basket for the rear some 10 yrs ago, from a 660 to current 700, carries as much gas as ever might need including chainsaw, axes, good bit of firewood, cooler, rifle and 1/2 an elk when called for. A canvas one would never have survived all these years. If I ever buy a new machine, it will work as it always has.


I do use the ATV as a real utility vehicle as much as trail riding.

 

I have rotopax and they are ok.
I have been switching to the skidoo linq system. The connectors are better.
You can’t stack them but it is nice to just clip it in and go. And the same clips work for the bags as well so you can mix and match.
Just an option.

If you get the Rotopax, order their spout they sale, makes pouring gas easier, like the old time spouts without all those locks and pressing on the end to pour, not that way with their spout, you just undo the end and pour.

Why not just make a holder for a regular gas can. Sure, not as stylish, but way cheaper and you can hold way more than you would ever need.
